Who is NFocus   |   History

NFocus Consulting Inc was launched in 1989 in Douglas Cronin's basement as a custom software company. Focusing on the needs of a select group of customers, Doug began to look for additional ways to grow and service more local customers in Lancaster, Ohio; located 25 miles SE of Columbus. Personal computers were on the rise and The Postal Service™ began automation. In 1993, list processing services were added to our service offerings to assist in the POSTNET™ barcode and CASS™ requirements for the local mailers including a printer, bank, restaurant, and the Chamber of Commerce.

Working in the basement was cramped with the list processing and software growth. In 1996, the NFocus home moved from the owner's house to a small office building. Having the extra space did not last long as the list processing took off even further. In 1998 NFocus moved into our new corporate headquarters. With expansions and continued growth, the building is now over 27,000 square feet filled with local history artifacts and a virtual postal museum. Our secure data center houses our list processing dept. complete with hand scanners, security cameras, computer flooring, label printers and the data and postal software systems.

Our products and services are driven by the market and customers we serve. The NFocus Software Line includes customized systems from ResQue™ and Listcounts™ list fulfillment to point-of-sale and PALM applications. An inhouse staff of programmers handles all software applications from concept, programming, and integration. The NFocus Data Processing Line is based on solutions for direct marketers and mailers. Publications, catalogs, retailers, lettershops and printers, list brokers and managers, and agencies are all serviced within the list processing division.

NFocus hosts virtually every address in the US with many selections and demographics available as well as a full-line of Mapping, Geocoding, Radius, and Demographic Appending services. Our Mapping applications can pinpoint every customer or store, produce maps on a mailpiece, or print a wall-size laminated product for sales presentations and research. List processing services include all the address hygiene tools to cleanse and improve a database, Postal Presorting and Optimization, and data preparation for production on an inkjet, laser, or digital press or labels. Today, NFocus handles billions of records for cataloguers and retailers, publications, marriage mailers, list professionals, lettershops, and institutions.
