The original focus of NFocus was software development for mainframe computers. Doug used to travel to client sites all over the country, putting him on the road twelve months out of the year. In 1993, as personal computers became more powerful, the direction of the company was switched to start developing software under this new platform. Doug’s main responsibility has moved from the software design (which he still loves), to developing the business, employees and maintaining the proper direction of the company. EDUCATION: B.S. Computer Science and Business at DeVry University PERSONAL: Doug is married and has a daughter and two grown step sons. He lives in a restored farmhouse which was built by Doug’s Great-Great Grandfather in 1881. He raises numerous types of farm animals and Friesian horses. He is the President of the Board for the Family YMCA. He is also on the board for Fairfield Land Preservation and is active in the worship and teaching ministries at his church. |
